The Legal Services Division assists the executive bodies in legal matters. It also participates in legislative work and draws up opinions for the attention of the Federal Council and Parliament. The Legal Services Division also prepares framework papers and draws up internal directives. Furthermore, the Division represents the court in appeals or other proceedings which fall outside the responsibilities of the divisions.
